ECJ declares that Ireland has failed to fulfil obligations
In the Judgment of Nov 26, the ECJ declared that Ireland failed to transpose the data retention directive on time. The court confirmed that the relevant point in time is the reasoned opinion of the Commission. It missed another opportunity to check the directive for compliance with fundamental rights. Read more »
